5. Paul Rickard: Finding My Talk

Paul Rickard (Omuskego Cree) grew up watching TV and Hollywood movies and dreamed of making films like Steven Spielberg or Paul Lucas.

Paul is now president of Mushkeg Media Inc., successfully producing and directing his own films and television series and also providing opportunities for others to work and develop careers in cinema and television. Over the past few years Paul has produced, written and directed an impressive number of critically acclaimed and successful programs and series for television.

Paul goes where his work takes him, but is still firmly based in his community and never forgets his father’s advice; “Don’t forget, there’s stories here, too”.
