Brenda Chambers

Brenda Chambers (Tlingit) has been actively promoting Aboriginal broadcasting for more than 20 years as an independent producer, host, broadcast executive, trainer, lobbyist, and media entrepreneur.

As host and associate producer for the series – “Nedaa” (1986), she tackled many controversial issues; such as residential schools, sexual abuse, and AIDS, which, up to that time, had been considered taboo subjects in many communities.

Brenda now lives in B.C., and is president of Brenco Media, with offices and production facilities in Vancouver and Kelowna. In 1999, she launched the series “Venturing Forth”, focusing on Indigenous entrepreneurs and Aboriginal economic development across Canada. More recently, Brenda has produced “Tears and Triumphs”, a unique documentary series featuring Indigenous athletes and their sports.
