Growing up around a politician is not something you’ll find in Danis Goulet’s resume.
But when you find out her parents were both selfless educators and her father the first aboriginal Cabinet Minister in a Saskatchewan government, you might see her in a different light.
Most of the time this young woman is known by her urban identity: Filmmaker, mother and community organizer. As the Executive Director (recently re-designated the Artistic Director) for imagineNATIVE Film and Media Arts Festival, Danis Goulet brings with her significant experience in the film and television industry. Her short film Spin has screened at several festivals, including the 2004 Sundance Film Festival and she has recently completed her latest short project Divided By Zero. We catch up with her at Christmas on a visit home to see Mom and Dad.
